Fun at Disneyland
I LOVE the Electrical Parade
I just love the Electrical Parade! When Brad and I got married, we had the music playing during our Grand Entrance to the reception. The music makes me sooo happy! I cried when I saw the parade for the "last time" during the farewell season in 1996. Brad bought 2 lightbulbs from the floats as a commemorative gift for me and I bought the video of the parade so I could always remember it. Recently, I have been watching the video with Sammie thinking that she will never see the parade and get to experience it like I did.. Well, I had NO idea that the parade is back and has been for SEVERAL years at California Adventure.. ( thanks Echo) so we went on Wednesday ( Echo, Zachary, Austin Sammie and I) and when the parade music started, my eyes watered. (yes, sentimental or maybe just mental) I got so happy like a little kid to watch this parade through they eyes of my daughter.. She was clapping and enjoyed it just like I did. She kept asking for "godmother" because that is her special friend from the last Disneyland trip. ( see May 29 post) Anyway.. it was a great evening! We even got to see the fireworks after the parade. ( Not the best view of them but there's always next time.

Naughty Naomi
Naomi is naughty sometimes! Good thing she is cute because she ate Sammie's brand new dress up shoes. Did I mention that she placed FIRST in dog obedience class?? Oh yes, I did... well, technically she still is a puppy..
Okay.. now on to more fascinating things...
I have been tagged with some questions to answer so here they are..
My roommate and I once: I've actually never had a roommate... I lived at home until I got married.
Never in my life have I: Been to Hawaii.
High school was: Okay... not the best time of my life.
When I'm nervous: I talk fast and stumble over my words.
My hair: Brown with blonde highlights. Mostly straight with a mind of its own.
When I was 5: I was walking my huge St. Bernard dog by myself and he decided to chase a kid on a bike. Well, I was still on the other end of the leash but didn't want to let go so I was dragged down the street and boy did I have wounds on my arms, legs and face!
When I turn my head left: I can see a little view of the hills out of our office window.
By this time next year: I hope to have some home improvement projects completed. ( New paint inside and out, closets redone, cabinets in the garage, entertainment center built in)
My favorite aunt is: Auntie "A" ( My mom's sister Arleen)
You know I like you if: We talk on the phone and hang out too!
My ideal breakfast is: Oh.. yummy... I love to eat breakfast! I love eggs over easy with sourdough toast or a breakfast burrito with eggs, cheese, salsa and bacon. I am also addicted to the breakfast sandwiches at Starbucks! YUM YUM!
If you visit my home town: You can see where Ford motor cars are made. I was born in Detroit!
If you spend the night at my house: You might trip over some scrapbook stuff or a "My Little Pony" or two.... hundred....
My favorite blonde is: Sammie!
My favorite brunette is: Christine
The animal I would like to see flying besides birds: Horses... Sammie would love that!
I shouldn't have been: born with NO sense of direction! My mom can find her way anywhere so why didn't I get the "direction gene" or even the "spatial concepts gene" from my dad?
Last night I: stayed up late reading my magazines.
A better name for me would be: Gosh.. I really have no idea about this one.. I guess "goofball" would fit.
I've been told I look like: A supermodel....... just kidding.. I used to look sort of like "Mary Lou Retton" when my hair was really short in the 80's
If I could have any car, it would be: A Lexus.... but i really love my car too!
Okay.. that's it.. If you are reading this then I tag YOU! Post a comment in the comments section and you get to answer these questions too! C'mon it is fun! Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to say "hi"

Scrappy Saturday
I scrapped on Saturday at Scrapbook Oasis with Echo and Jennifer. We had fun. We went shopping at Michael's and Joann's during the day. I added some more supplies to my ever growing scrapbook collection! I didn't get very many pages done but here are 2 of my favorites.
Sunday I worked on report cards. I am so excited that school is almost over! Only 3 more days of work for me! The kids are finished on Thursday but we have to work on Friday and take down our classroom.
I have a busy summer planned! We are going on a cruise to Ensenada on Carnival's Paradise. I will post a pic of the ship if I can. It will be fun. It is Sammie's first cruise. Brad and I love to go on cruises and so do my parents! They are going too so we should have a blast!
Lots of other fun things too like Disneyland, swim lessons, and all kinds of stuff with Sammie. ( I'm sure a few trips to Irvine Park to ride the ponies!)
Brad and I are planning several "home projects" this summer too. We are going to finally get cabinets in the garage, re-do our closets, and paint inside and outside the house. That should give the house a little face lift. It will be a lot of work but we need a change of scenery. We have had white walls the entire time we have lived here so it will be nice to have a little color on the walls.
Today I took my car in and got an oil change and 40,000 mile service. I can't believe I already have 40,000 miles on my car. I love my car! Sammie and I walked around the Tustin Marketplace and then had lunch. We stopped by the Red Bee on the way home and I bought a few new scrappy things.
Well, i guess I should go to bed now.. it is getting late!!
Bye bye for now!

First Place Dog
Well, Naomi placed first in her dog obedience class and won a certificate and trophy. She is a good dog. Sammie loves her and they have a lot of fun together. Naomi even made it onto the German Shepherd Rescue website as "top dog". Check it out at http://www.gsroc.org/ . (Click on the "Happy Endings" tab and select "stories from adopters". You'll see "Naomi the first place dog".) We went for a walk tonight and she does walk pretty well on a leash. Sammie rode her bike, and I walked the two of them. What a challenge for me but fun!
We've been busy these past few days. My parents were in town and we went to a Bar Mitzvah and a wedding Memorial Day weekend. Both events were fun. We had a lot of driving to do since they were both far away. ( Los Angeles, Fallbrook) My dad was the chauffeur which was very nice of him considering he drove 250 miles from Vegas to come here and then drove all around CA. EEEKKK Gas prices!!
Sammie had an annual visit at CHOC to follow up on her progress. She did great! We were there for 3.5 hours and saw 10 different specialists.( dentist, ENT, doctor,Plastic Surgeon, Speech Pathologist, Audiologist, Nurse, etc.) We sat in a room and they each came in one at a time. She amused herself quite well and the panel of specialists sure got a kick out of her! They will send us a report of their recommendations but all was good! She is 37" tall now and weighs 31 lbs. We took her shopping afterwards because she had been wanting a Cinderella dress. ( All week she said to me, "Mommy, we have to go to the Target and get a Cinderella dress") Well Target doesn't have Cinderella dresses by the way... so we went to WalMart. There was a a beautiful Cinderella dress there.. I will post a pic. I still haven't learned how to add two pictures to one post so I'll post it separately.
Thanks for stopping by to read!
