Uh-MAY-zing

I can't believe how fast the time flies and that it is mid May already! I know I always say that and even though I often stop and appreciate "today" instead of rushing on to "tomorrow", time just really goes so fast. My little first grader who was just a kindergartner, just a preschooler, just a BABY, is finishing up and will be in 2nd grade in the fall. Wow... so fast it goes!
So here I am, almost a month since I have updated and wanting to catch up and document things so I can look back when time flies again and see what I was up to ! ( I have always liked doing that, looking back and seeing what I did last year at the same time, etc.) That's why I ramble a bit in my posts and write down things that may not be so important, but are important to me because I will forget!! So forgive me, but this is where I like to write things down!

I had a nice Mother's Day and thank Sammie for giving me this important job. We went out to lunch the day before with my parents and my Nana. Then down to Balboa for the afternoon to ride on the car ferry. That was fun! We did it twice because Sammie loves it! My aunt was in an art show that night so we went to see her paintings and support her. She was very happy we were there. The next morning, we went out for breakfast and then Brad and Sammie and i went to Disneyland for the day. We had fun. It was crowded but still nice. The weather was cool so that was enjoyable.
Here are all the girls together. :) Sammie made that flower clip for me at school and this really cute card.
She wrote... "Do you know the best mom? Well I do, she is my mom. She has brown hair. It is as brown as 'chocklit". Her eyes are as green as a mrhsmel chick. Her smil is as red as an strobary cack. She is good at skrapbooking. The best prat is evin if she will mack food evin if she is sick. I love you mom". Gotta love it!!!
Here is a picture of me with my chocklit hair, mrshmel eyes and strobary cack smil.
tee hee hee

Of course some pics of Pokey. He is a good boy. Sammie cantered on him this week and was so proud of herself. I was proud of her too.. She is so determined to ride like the big girls!

Today we helped at pony club for a special event called "Big Sunday" for underprivileged kids. (Yes, it is Saturday and the event is called "Big Sunday") Most of them had never touched or ridden a real horse. It was great to see the looks on their faces. I helped them with a craft. They decorated horse shoes and then they glued a picture of themselves with the horse they rode. It was good for Sammie to see that there are so many kids that don't have the same experiences that she has. She went on her first pony ride when she was 8 months old!!! There were kids there today that were 17 and had never been on a horse. What a neat event.

I guess that's all for now.... go take a peek at scrap it forward to see what we have up our sleeves... A new challenge to help animals!!!

Hello. You probably don't remember me, and I don't know if you check this often, but I'm Joshua Lunetto. I was in your Kindergarten class I believe in 2000-2001. I'm 14 now, and was curious to see if I could find any of my old teachers. I hope you respond back! -Josh
