Tooth # 5

Sammie just lost tooth #5 today. It had been loose for a few days and she kept poking it with her tongue, as well as begging her Kindergarten teacher to pull it out. Finally today, she woke up, went downstairs and poked at it yet again and out it came! She came running into our room and said "A window, I have a window in my mouth, what a great day for a window!" She is so funny.

She wrote a letter to the tooth fairy in the notebook I made for her. I made up the idea when she lost her first tooth so we would have a record of it so i could scrapbook it later. I have been writing the notes for her until now, she wanted to do it herself. ( Translation: "Dear Alyssa, I am in Kindergarten. I love you a lot. I left food for you. This is my 5th tooth. Love, Sammie"( I helped with the spelling) A little bit of background information that you must know is that she named the tooth fairy Alyssa last year.
Well, tonight she looked at me and said, "Do YOU put on a costume and dress up as the tooth fairy?" I said "What do you mean?... I can't fit through the window and I can't fly, you silly!" and she said "Oh."
WHEW!!!
That was a close one.

She decided to leave the tooth fairy a little snack tonight which consisted of an orange, a few pretzel sticks and a piece of banana. YUM!
Here are a few more "Sammie-isms" as I call them..
We went to Disneyland on Monday and she really likes to "ride" Captain EO. I haven't seen it since it has been back as a tribute but she has gone 2 times with daddy and really likes it. ( The seats move and vibrate which is pretty cool) Well, anyway, she pointed to the Captain EO poster with Michael Jackson in the white leather studded suit and curly signature hair and said, "She has a nice outfit". I said, "That is a boy, his name is Michael Jackson." To which she replied, "Well, SHE has a high voice". Yep, she does!! Ahhhhh that kid!!!

We had a great Disney day, nice weather, not crowded, just the way i like it. I had promised Sammie an ice cream when we left so we stopped to get one and she said to me, "Mom, I want a "hunormous" one. Yes, HU-NOR-MOUS! That's a cross between Humongous and Enormous... and here it is!
Yes, this is quite the hunormous ice cream cone!
